Real County Airport, Leakey, Texas

Dates  : Thursday. thru Sunday - March 22-25, 2007

Place  : Real County Airport, Leakey, TX

Each year, all Texas PPC Pilots just have to take part in atleast one Hill Country Fly-In. And Leakey is at the top of the list !

It's what Power Chutes are made for guys.

Whether you choose to buzz down the wild rapids of the Frio River at low altitudes or soar over and beside the 400 to 600 foot cliffs that stand guard over the Frio River Valley, adventure and excitement await you.

The quaint Hill Country town of Leakey lies within a short hop to two Texas State Parks. Garner State Park is just 9 miles down river, Lost Maples State Park is just 11 miles Northeast, both are a must do.

Then, there's the little town of Concan, only 17/18 miles down river, which is another great cross country destination to make. We are trying to firm up arrangements to land at the brand new golf course there. The owner, I've been told, just loves ultralights.

Also, we are working on getting Chuck and Amy Wells, from Colorado, to come back down here to Inspect Planes again. If we can do that, we can help a bunch of guys get their Chutes N Numbered.

The Barf Club will also be renting a large 50 x 50 hanger at the airfield for all PPC's. So, if you don't have a covered trailer, there will be a good place to keep yours overnight.

Since the Barf Meeting is the weekend before the fly-in, the Club voted to move the meeting to the fly-in. So those that come to the fly-in can now join us for the meeting.

To offset the expenses for the club, there will be a small $10 pilot registration fee for pilots. Registration fees will be collected at the pilot briefings on Fri.

Buzz Ya Later,

Don

PS : This fly-in should be in Sync with all the Spring Bluebonnets.
