The show is succeeding, too. The UltraFlight Radio Show made history in the Summer of 2004 by broadcasting live the press conference at FAA headquarters announcing the new Sport Pilot Rules. We continue to be the only source for live interviews with the policy makers and implementers of this new initiative. As sport pilot is implemented and the questions in the community continue, UltraFlight Radio will provide the information to an interested audience.

Understanding the Web Site
The graphic below shows the actual statistics from the UltraFlight Radio Show web site. You can see that now regularly, the number of requests (hits) on the web site each month is over ONE MILLION! A million hits is pretty impressive. But more important to you as an advertiser is the number of pages requested.
Each ‘page requested’ means that a web page from the site was requested with your advertising message on it. UltraFlight Radio is not like a lot of internet properties that try to sell you an ad on only a particular page. When you buy an ad on the UltraFlight Radio Show, your ad gets put into the rotation that is placed on nearly 500 (and counting) web pages that include the home page, the events page, and hundreds of archive pages. A Steady Audience
One of the gratifying things about the UltraFlight Radio Show is that the listenership has grown to a regular audience. Computer audio technology continues to improve and the interest in quality aviation programming has increased. With that, UltraFlight Radio has grown, too. The graph below shows the increase in page views at the UltraFlight Radio web site. In November of 2004, there were 30,694 page visits to the web site. In March of 2006, there were 64,964 page visits. That is an increase of 112%!

How Many Listeners Tune In To UltraFlight Radio?
This is a number that is hard to measure since the show is delivered in so many ways. It is delivered live, podcasts are hosted on the World Talk Radio Site, and about a year ago we also began hosting downloadable files on the UltraFlightRadio site. Just the numbers from this site are a small fraction of the total, but so far almost a quarter million podcasts have been delivered from just this one source in a little over a year! Add that to the live listeners and the other ways that the show is archived and the show probably delivers nearly a million podcasts per year!
Comparing The Media
Unfortunately, comparing marketing on the UltraFlight Radio Show with advertising in a magazine is a lot like comparing apples to oranges. There are so many more things that the ad on the radio show can do for you that simply can’t be done in a magazine. Things like:

What Does Your Dollar Buy?
Now let’s talk about a more important number. That is, the number of impressions each of your advertising dollars brings you. The table below shows those numbers, based on the price of advertising an average color ad in each medium.
