You can also hear (previous shows) at the show archive. We make it convenient for you.
To be a part of the show and you are in the U.S., you can call toll-free: 1-866-613-1612. If you are somewhere that the toll-free number does not work, you can reach us at 1-858-268-3068. Another (often better) way to get questions to us is by E-mail. You can write Roy at roy@easyflight.com

On November 5th 2006, Dan Grunloh completed a cross-country flight which qualifies him for the FAI Gold Colibri Award. The Colibri are a series of internationally recognized achievement awards for ultralight or microlight pilots. One of the things he had to do to earn the award, was fly a predicted cross-country flight of 850 miles in 4.5 days using only traditional navigation methods of pilotage and dead reckoning. No GPS was used. Dan talks about his experiences in what has become a rare kind of cross country flying. USUA Information on Dan's Gold Colibri

If you have an upcoming ultralight related event that you would like to get on the schedule, E-mail me with the event name, location, date, and contact information by clicking here. Meanwhile, check out the following events:
27th Annual IUAC Ultralight and Light Plane Safety Seminar
February 24, 2007. Illinois State Fairgrounds, Springfield, Illinois. The Illinois Ultralight/Light Plane Safety Seminar is the oldest and largest gathering of its type. Established in the 80's to address safety concerns with the then newly emerged sport of ultralighting, the IUAC advises the FAA and the Illinois Department of Transportation on ultralight issues, in addition to organizing the annual safety seminar.
Since moving to the Illinois Building on the Springfield, Illinois Fairgrounds, the Safety Seminar has been able to offer the 12,000+ square foot convention area to organizations in the ultralight industry to display everything from organizational literature to complete aircraft including -- fixed wing, trikes, powered parachutes, rotorcraft, and powered paragliders. As a service to the industry, there is no charge for those organizations that wish to display. Illinois Ultralight Advisory Council
14th Annual Wisconsin Ultralight/Light Sport Aviation Safety Seminar
March 3, 2007. Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Presented by the Wisconsin Ultralight and Light Sport Aviation Advisory Council and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation - Bureau of Aeronautics. Learn more at: http://www.av8safe.org/
2007 Kentuckiana Aviation Safety Seminar for Ultralight, Sport & Experimental Pilots
March 17, 2007. Ivy Tech State College, Sellersburg, Indiana. The clubs in Indiana and Kentucky are joining forces to have a big safety seminar replacing the events in Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Indiana and Lexington, Kentucky. They have a great line-up of speakers and are hoping for good support from some of the vendors in the aviation community. For more information contact David Graves at the Scottsburg Aero Club at graves.david@insightbb.com or learn more at the Scottsburg Aero Club Newsgroup.
Leakey Fly-In
March 22-25, 2007. Real County Airport, Leakey, Texas. The quaint Hill Country town of Leakey lies within a short hop to two Texas State Parks. Garner State Park is just 9 miles down river, Lost Maples State Park is just 11 miles Northeast, both are a must do. Then, there's the little town of Concan, only 17/18 miles down river, which is another great cross country destination to make. We are trying to firm up arrangements to land at the brand new golf course there. Learn more at Leakey 2007 Fly-In
