UltraFlight Radio can now be found live on Tuesday UltraFlight Radiomornings right here on the web at www.ultraflightradio.com at 10:00am Eastern Standard Time and 7:00am Pacific Time. But you don't have to hear it live to hear it.

You can also hear (previous shows) at the show archive. We make it convenient for you.

To be a part of the show and you are in the U.S., you can call toll-free: 1-866-613-1612. If you are somewhere that the toll-free number does not work, you can reach us at 1-858-268-3068. Another (often better) way to get questions to us is by E-mail. You can write Roy at roy@easyflight.com

Jeff Williams, Powrachute
Jeff Williams joins us from Oshkosh to talk about Powrachute's new "Performance +" wing system for the Pegasus. The Performance + wing system is designed to provide approximately 150-160 pounds of additional lift. Benefits are a smaller parachute wing size for better inflations and less drag, an increase in airspeed and glide, less fuel burn, better climb rate, and more stability in flight. Jeff's the one that's been testing the prototype and he tells us about how it flies. We also talk about the new Sky Rascal Sea Mariner. The Sky Rascal Sea Mariner is a combined effort with another company to produce a single seat PPC on full lotus floats. Powrachute

Michael Purdy, Baja Powered Paragliding
We visit with Michael Purdy, the former cohost of the UltraFlight Radio Show and one of the hosts of the Powered Paragliding Show on World Talk Radio. We talk about his latest project, a powered paragliding school in Baja, Mexico. His approach is to offer the extensive training needed to create better and safer PPG pilots. Baja Powered Paragliding

Neal Willford, Cessna Aircraft Company
All summer, people have been waiting to learn more about the "proof of concept" airplane that Cessna has been creating for the Light Sport Aviation market. Well, the unveiling happened yesterday at Oshkosh and today we're going to talk with the lead engineer for the project, Neal Willford. He talks about the plane and what Cessna is trying to achieve with it. Cessna Aircraft Company

Bever Borne, Air-Tech, Inc.
Bever Borne chats with us about propeller balancing. He talks about what works and what doesn't work to keep things running smooth. Bever can also answer your four stroke and two stroke ultralight aircraft engine questions. Do you have questions? When the show is live, call your questions in at (888) 514-2100 or you can IM them in on AOL or Yahoo Instant Messenger to UFRadio. Air-Tech, Inc.

Jim Sweeney, USUA and NAPPF Board Member
Jim Sweeney is on the ground at AirVenture and gives us an on the scene report about the goings on at Oshkosh so far this week. SweeneyCorp, USUA, NAPPF

Michael Huffman, Sport Aviation Specialties
Michael Huffman is getting ready for a trip to Maine where he will be teaching the 16 Hour Light Sport Aircraft Repairman Course a couple of times. One session will be for powered parachutes and another for airplanes. We talk about that and what constitutes an electrical system as far as operations in Mode C airspace is concerned. Sport Aviation Specialties

Remember, if you have any questions you want to ask the guests or you have any of your own comments about a topic, please call the show toll free when we're live at (888) 514-2100. If you have a show idea or know someone that would be a guest on the show (that could be you!) Contact Roy.

Hope you get a chance to listen in!

Edsel Ford, FAA Light Sport Aviation Branch
Van Stumpner, FAA Light Sport Aviation Branch
Edsel Ford and Van Stumpner talk with us about the long-awaited change to Order 8130.2F. Big changes have to do with the operating limitations that apply to Experimental Light Sport Aircraft. Until now, if you got an airworthiness certificate under the previous version of the order, you would not be able to fly your E-LSA aircraft over congested areas or at night. This change allows those operations. Edsel and Van tell us how the change works and how to take advantage of the new operating limitations even if you have an N-number aircraft with the old version of the limitations. Light Sport Aviation Branch (Part 1) (7/18/06)
