Larry Clymer, FAA Light Sport Aviation Branch
Larry Clymer joins us to answer some Sport Pilot questions that have come in over the past weeks. We focus on pilots that want to use their private pilot certificates to fly under sport pilot. What pilots need to do to fly airplanes, or what they need to do to operate weight shift control or powered parachutes. We also talk about when make and model endorsements are needed and how to get them. Light Sport Aviation Branch

Greg Gremminger, Magni Gyro
Greg Gremminger talks about how to by a used gyroplane. Before you put out your hard earned money for a gyro, there are things you should take into consideration like the condition of the aircraft and whether you will be able to obtain nearby training for the machine you are thinking of getting. There is far more to buying a gyro than being the low bidder on ebay
. Magni Gyro USA

Baron Tayler, PowerChute Education Foundation
Baron Tayler is well into his cross the USA trip in a powered parachute. He gives us a report on how things are going and tells us what it's like to cross mountainous terrain in a powered parachute. www.pcefoundation.org/crosscountry.htm

Bever Borne, Air-Tech, Inc.
We visit with Bever Borne about an important structural part of a lot of sport aircraft, cables. We cover how cables are built, how they are sized for replacement, the components in a cable, and how to inspect cables. Bever can also answer your four stroke and two stroke ultralight aircraft engine questions. Do you have questions? When the show is live, call your questions in at (888) 514-2100 or you can IM them in on AOL or Yahoo Instant Messenger to UFRadio. Air-Tech, Inc

Jim Sweeney, USUA and NAPPF Board Member
Jim Sweeney joins us to talk about the weather. There are tools on the internet that allow pilots access to the same tools that local and internet weather forecasters have. Jim talks about how fronts effect your weather and how to read the 12 Hour Combined Surface Prognosis Chart. SweeneyCorp, USUA, NAPPF.

Remember, if you have any questions you want to ask the guests or you have any of your own comments about a topic, please call the show toll free when we're live at (888) 514-2100. If you have a show idea or know someone that would be a guest on the show (that could be you!) Contact Roy.

Hope you get a chance to listen in!

And if You Missed The May 30th Show...

You Can Still Get It In The Archives

We archive shows for four to six weeks. But for your convenience, you can access segments from last weeks show straight from this E-mail. Get Windows Media PlayerJust click on the segment number.

If this is the first time you plan to listen to the radio show, you may need to download a copy of Windows Media Player. Don't fret, there are versions for the Mac, too.

Randy Hansen, EAA
It seems that gasoline is on everyone's mind nowadays and it really should be on a lot of pilots' minds. Because while most people are worried about the price of fuel, pilots that use autofuel for their aircraft have bigger concerns. Pilots need to know the issues surrounding the reformulation of fuel, mainly the addition of Ethanol to gasoline. Randy Hansen has been studying the issue and talks to us about it. EAA.org.
