You can listen to the only All-Ultralight and Light Sport Aviation Radio Show on the Internet
and...
Check Out The Schedule of Ultralight and Light Sport Aviation Events Below
|
UltraFlight Radio can now be found live on Tuesday mornings right here on the web at www.ultraflightradio.com at 10:00am Eastern Standard Time and 7:00am Pacific Time. But you don't have to hear it live to hear it.
You can also hear (previous shows) at the show archive. We make it convenient for you.
To be a part of the show and you are in the U.S., you can call toll-free: 1-888-514-2100. If you are somewhere that the toll-free number does not work, you can reach us at 1-858-268-3068. Another (often better) way to get questions to us is by E-mail. You can write Roy at roy@easyflight.com
Dale Newton, Flight Design USA
Dale Newton is one of the first graduates of the 120 Hour Repairman Course and is probably the very first light-sport aircraft repairman. Dale talks about his three week experience at Rainbow Aviation in California. Flightstar Sportplanes, Inc. / Flight Designs USA
Erik Pederson, Phantom Aeronautics
Erik Pederson gives us an update on the rotary engine he has flying on a single place Phantom. He also talks about his new two-seat Phantom. Both will be flying at Sun 'n Fun. Phantom Aeronautics
John Burton, Sun 'n Fun President and Convention Chairman
We talk with John Burton about this year's Sun 'n Fun Fly-In. He gives us an overview of everything you can expect at this year's Florida event. Sun 'n Fun Fly-In
Bever Borne, Air-Tech, Inc.
We deal with a question on engine wiring. A pilot bought a starter for his engine, got it installed, put some current to it and got the engine to turn over. Now that pilot wants to know what some of the other things he needs to make the system work. Bever Borne is the man to ask and we ask him. Air-Tech, Inc
Paul Hamilton, Adventure Productions
Paul Hamilton talks about the shifting approach to training and testing for Light Sport Pilots. Until recently, sport pilot training has been approached with a unified training program from training materials through the knowledge test. Also, Paul talks about new products and his plans for the Sun 'n Fun Fly-In. Adventure Productions.
Dave Piper, Sun 'n Fun Paradise City Chairman
We talk with the man that runs our favorite area at Sun 'n Fun, Paradise City. Dave Piper talks about what's going on in the area and how you can get involved. Sun 'n Fun Fly-In
Remember, if you have any questions you want to ask the guests or you have any of your own comments about a topic, please call the show toll free when we're live at (888) 514-2100. If you have a show idea or know someone that would be a guest on the show (that could be you!) Contact Roy.
Hope you get a chance to listen in!

And if You Missed The March 21st Show...
You Can Still Get It In The Archives
|
We archive shows for four to six weeks. But for your convenience, you can access segments from last weeks show straight from this E-mail. Just click on the segment number.
If this is the first time you plan to listen to the radio show, you may need to download a copy of Windows Media Player. Don't fret, there are versions for the Mac, too.
Edsel Ford, FAA Light Sport Aviation Branch
Van Stumpner, FAA Light Sport Aviation Branch
Edsel Ford and Van Stumpner join us to talk about aircraft markings and placarding. Sport Pilot is requiring aircraft owners to find ways to put N-numbers on their aircraft. Edsel and Van talk about how to do it; even on aircraft like powered parachutes and trikes. We also learn about placarding requirements for the mystery switches that a lot of pilots install and don't mark. Learn some of the things it takes to get your aircraft ready for an airworthiness inspection. Light Sport Aviation Branch (3/21/06)

Chuck Slusarczyk, CGS Hawk
Like a lot of aircraft manufacturers, Chuck Slusarczyk is getting ready for the temporary migration down to Lakeland in a couple of weeks for the Sun 'n Fun Fly-In. He talks a little about what he is doing to get ready, what he's bringing, and what he'll be leaving there at the Sun 'n Fun Museum. CGS Aviation (3/21/06)

Galen Geigley, Powrachute & Soaring Concepts
Another northern company getting ready for Sun 'n Fun is Powrachute. Galen Geigley tells us about what Powrachute has been up to, updates us on the S-LSA certification process for their powered parachutes, and lets us in on what they are bringing to the show. Powrachute Corp (3/21/06)

Jim Sweeney, USUA and NAPPF Board Member
There have been some questions about Mode C veils, Light Sport Aircraft and encoding transponders. What do you do as an N-numbered aircraft flying in the Mode C veil? Luckily we have Jim Sweeney available to sort out what you need to do to keep yourself straight. SweeneyCorp, USUA, NAPPF. (Part 1) (3/21/06)
